Brief Introduction of Discipline
The discipline of Transportation Engineering at Southeast University is one of the oldest in the field of transportation in China. After a century of development, it has established a modern discipline cluster of transportation engineering with complete directions, distinct characteristics, and significant advantages. The discipline ranks A+ in the national comprehensive ranking and has been selected as a“Double First-Class” discipline. It has formed a high-level academic and teaching team supported by high-level national and provincial research aAnd teaching platforms, with academicians, national special-appointed experts, national teaching masters, national special-appointed professors, national outstanding young expertsas the collective force.It has established a long-term cooperation mechanism with renowned universities in the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and the Netherlands, and is comprehensively promoting strategic cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, and international exchanges and cooperation.

Students will understand the current technical situation and development trends of this discipline, master the basic theories and professional knowledge related to transportation systems and transportation infrastructure, possess excellent innovation ability, international vision and leadership awareness, etc.Students will be capable of engaging in research, teaching and engineering work related to planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation management, information control, traffic safety, etc.

Thesis Proposal
Complied in accordance with the "Principles and Requirements for Thesis Topic Selection and Proposal Preparation of Graduate Students of Southeast University".
Mid-term Assessment
Complied in accordance with the "Mid-term Assessment and Screening Measures for Master's Students of Southeast University".
Thesis
Literature reading
Within the scope related to the topic selection and research direction of the thesis, at least 50 pieces of literature should be read, among which 30 are in foreign languages.
Thesis Writing
Apart from complying with the school regulations, the thesis must be a systematic and complete academic paper, requiring clear concepts, correct arguments, rigorous reasoning, accurate calculations, reliable data, distinct levels, concise writing, smooth flow, and clear icons.
Academic Level of the Thesis
The thesis should be based on investigation and research, select a topic with certain academic value and significance for the national economic development.The time spent on conducting research work around the thesis should be no less than one year. Before applying for a master’s degree in this discipline,student must carry out thesis work under the guidance of the supervisor (or the registered deputy supervisor), relying on an important research project led by the supervisor (or the registered deputy supervisor), obtain the supervisor’s approval and be closely related to the thesis. Students should meet the research achievements within the prescribed scope of theschool. 1. The minimum total credit requirement for courses during the school period is as follows: 26 credits for science and engineering, 28 credits for medicine, and 30 credits for liberal arts and management. Among them, the minimum credit requirement for compulsory courses is 16 credits, and the rest are elective courses. In addition, 5 credits for comprehensive quality enhancement should also be completed.
2. Compulsory course study should generally be completed within one academic year after enrollment.
3. Compulsory courses and public elective courses should be based on this table. Professional elective courses should be selected from the“Graduate Course Catalogue”.
