The Department of Intelligent Transportation & Logistics Engineering can be traced back to the Department of Transportation established in National Southeast University in 1921. In 2001, it became an independent undergraduate major in transportation school. In 2008, it became a committee member of teaching on road transportation and engineering of the Ministry of Education. In the same year, the department was selected as the specialty construction discipline of Jiangsu Province. In 2009, it was awarded the title of “National Transportation and Logistics College Teaching Demonstration Center”. In 2011, it was awarded “Jiangsu Key Logistics Research Center”. In 2011, 2014, and 2017, it passed the National Engineering Education Professional Certification of the Ministry of Education. The discipline has the “Industry Integrated Transportation Big Data Processing and Application Technology R&D Center” of the Ministry of Transport, “Southeast University – CIMC Kaitong Digital Multimodal Transport Technology and Application R&D Center”, and “Jiangsu Logistics Hub Engineering Research Center”, etc.
