Addressing the future development of the low-altitude economy and its associated technologies, the department focuses on scientific and technical challenges in areas such as low-altitude traffic system optimization, low-altitude application scenario development, and space detection and remote sensing. Its research spans multiple disciplines, including artificial intelligence, intelligent perception, systems analysis, air traffic management, and communication principles.
The department offers an interdisciplinary graduate program in Low-Altitude Technology and Engineering, as well as two undergraduate programs: Intelligent Transportation (Low-Altitude Direction) and Low-Altitude Technology and Engineering.It hosts several key research platforms, including the Jiangsu Provincial Engineering Research Center for Smart Low-Altitude Transportation and the Jiangsu Provincial Innovation Consortium for Key Technologies and Equipment for Low-Altitude Safety Intelligent Supervision.
The department has also established deep collaborative partnerships with leading industry enterprises such as CETC, JSTI, Shenzhen Urban Transport Planning Center (SUTPC), and Jiangsu Communications Holding, working together to address critical challenges facing the industry.
